Academic Record

Taught by someone who has
walked the path — at the top level

Every method I teach is one I have used myself to earn top grades — from A-Levels through to a First Class engineering degree and a place at Imperial.

MSc Applied Computational Science & Engineering

Incoming Master's student at Imperial College London — consistently ranked among the world's top universities for engineering and the sciences.

Imperial College London

BEng Aerospace Engineering

Graduated with First Class Honours — a degree built on exactly the mathematics and physics your child is studying now, applied at the highest level.

A-Level Results

Strong results across the exact subjects I now teach — I know these specifications, mark schemes and examiner habits from the inside.

What I Teach

Four subjects. One target:
top grades in the real exam.

Lessons are built around the specification your child is actually sitting — past papers, mark schemes and exam technique from day one.

A-Level

Mathematics

Pure, mechanics and statistics — taught for genuine understanding first, then drilled with past-paper questions until full marks feel routine.

Target grade A* / A

A-Level

Physics

From mechanics to fields and nuclear physics — I scored an A* in this exam myself and teach the intuition examiners reward.

Target grade A* / A

GCSE

Mathematics

Solid foundations, confidence with problem-solving, and structured exam practice — building the skills that make A-Level success possible.

Target grade 9 / 8

GCSE

Physics

Clear explanations that replace memorisation with understanding, paired with the required practicals and equations mastered cold.

Target grade 9 / 8

How It Works

A simple path from
first call to exam day

Free 15-minute consultation

We talk about where your child is now, where they're struggling, and the grade they're aiming for. No commitment — just an honest assessment of how I can help.

A personal study plan

I map their syllabus against their weak areas and build a lesson plan targeted at the marks they're currently leaving on the table.

Exam-focused lessons

One-to-one lessons combining clear teaching, worked examples and timed past-paper practice — with regular progress updates for parents.

My Teaching Philosophy

Exams are a skill. I teach it deliberately.

  • Understanding before memorisation — concepts explained until they genuinely click, not recited.
  • Past papers from day one — every topic is practised the way it will actually be examined.
  • Mark-scheme thinking — students learn to write answers the way examiners award marks.
  • Honest progress tracking — parents always know where their child stands and what's next.

Frequently Asked Questions

The questions parents
ask me most

Everything you need to know before booking — and anything I've missed, just ask on our free consultation call.

How much do lessons cost?
£55 per hour One simple rate for all subjects and levels — GCSE or A-Level, Maths or Physics, online or in person. That includes lesson preparation, a personal study plan, curated practice materials and regular progress updates for parents. No sign-up fees and no obligation to book a block of lessons.
Will I know how my child is getting on?
Yes — parent feedback is built into how I work. After lessons I share a short update covering what we worked on, what's improving and what we're tackling next, and you'll always get an honest picture of where your child stands against their target grade. You're welcome to message me between lessons with any questions.
How flexible are lesson times?
Very. I offer weekday evening and weekend slots, and we can set up a regular weekly time or vary it around school commitments, mocks and holidays. Need to move a lesson? Just give me 24 hours' notice and we'll reschedule at no charge. In the run-up to exams, extra sessions can usually be arranged.
Are lessons online or in person?
Both. Most students choose online lessons on an interactive whiteboard — they're just as effective and easier to schedule. In-person lessons are available in London, subject to location and availability.
How long is each lesson, and how often should we book?
Lessons are one hour. For most students, one lesson a week is the sweet spot — enough to build momentum without overloading their schedule. Closer to exams, many families step up to two sessions a week.
How do we get started?
